Pennsylvania Man Shoots and Kills Girlfriend With Crossbow

Police say a man allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend inside a house in West Philadelphia. When they arrived, they found a 24-year-old man shot twice in the head and twice in the arm.

She was rushed to Aria-Torresdale Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The police said they had been called out to the couple's residence in northeast Philadelphia in the past, responding to calls of domestic abuse, according to the Bucks County Courier Times.

Police have not identified the victim or the suspect. He said that investigators believed that the children were in a different location in another part of the state.

Police said a preliminary investigation showed that the man apparently broke into the home, where his ex-girlfriend lived, through a window and that her new boyfriend caught him and shot him. The authorities have not released the names of the man or woman involved in the incident, pending notification of the next of kin.
