ATT Lumia 1520 also getting Windows 10 update

With the Windows 10 Mobile OS then coming out, things were starting to get even more interesting, as Microsoft took a major leap forward towards the future of the world of technology.

In preparation for its release, Verizon has published a new "simulator" on its support site, offering easy-to-follow, step-by-step guides, to help users find their way around Windows 10 Mobile on the Lumia Icon, after upgrading from Windows Phone 8.1.

No doubt this is pretty good news as the update to Windows 10 Mobile is essentially like giving the handset a new lease on life, so if you have a Lumia Icon stashed somewhere, perhaps it's time to dust it off and see how different Windows 10 Mobile will make your handset feel. Install the Windows 10 Upgrade Advisor app and be prepared for the notification that Windows 10 Mobile has landed on your handset.

The update, which was originally promised in the December of 2015, has come out in the March of 2016, and following that, millions of devices have been updated to the latest version of the Windows 10 Mobile OS. The update will be available for download via Firmware Over The Air (FOTA).

"This list includes a limited set of Windows Phone 8.1 devices and does not include some devices that are now running Windows 10 Mobile in the Windows 10 Mobile Insider program".

The first preview build of Windows 10 Mobile was rolled out for Lumia Icons on Verizon on May 7, so after more than one month of testing, the final update can finally go live for this model. Let us know in the comments if you have a Lumia that's not yet received the official upgrade.
